Kitchen Destruction and Easter!

HAPPY EASTER FROM THE FROESE FAMILY
Our Easter was really good this year, we were suppose to go away for the weekend but I was relieved it was cancelled so that I could meet my cousin's beautiful baby girl!
We had a Good Friday service at our church, I ended up reading the crucifixion story to my group of toddlers- then it was really fun to get excited with them for Easter Sunday!
Our Tristy boy is finally got the walking thing down- and its very cute to watch his confidence grow. The boys had a really good time looking for their easter treats. We had really hoped to do a hunt outside- but it wasn' t that nice. To be honest it was hard to explain to Aid why he gets treats at Easter and hoping by next year I can think of a good way to explain it.

Here she is, Karis in her beautiful Sunday dress (yep definitely hoping for a girl this time around) Isn't she precious! and so so so good! Cheryl lynn not sure if you still read this but it was sooo awesome you guys could come and we could oooh and ahhh over Karis.
Aiden's best friend at family gatherings- Cousin Steph!

and we have been working like crazy to finally do some renos on our kitchen, the above pictures are from when we first moved here and then just the painting we did.
We started by taking out our wall between the kitchen and living room. Love it- then Jeff build a walk in pantry- I am so happy with how it turned out, since it was his first attempt at framing. So proud of him!!!!
I was so excited to finally move all our stuff into the new one and take down the old closet that Aiden as a baby and now Tristen were always cleaning out

This is how it looks so far! Just waiting for our new cabinets and flooring and Jeff to put in a bulkhead for my light over the island. Hoping by the first week in May everything should be done!

Crazy that I am already 21 weeks into this pregnancy- wishing I could get rid of this nasty cold but other than that I have been feeling great. Really enjoyed the nice weather we did have and waiting for it to come back. Boys are getting bigger and can already play really nice together as well as fight :) Looking forward to getting their room ready and also getting my bedroom painted before baby. Next week is our ultrasound, I think we are going to find out what it is, but much to the dismay of some, going to keep it a secret! So few surprises in life- hope we can do it!

Hi Jocelyn,

I don't know if I already said congrats on the pregnancy - CONGRATS!!

Regarding the easter treats, I think it's great to celebrate that Jesus is alive again with some treats. Just like a birthday party, or Christmas. It's a special occasion, so we celebrate. And the custom is to hunt for eggs - you can talk about new life, spring, etc. We don't make it the focal point by any means, but it's just one of the customs that we use to celebrate. I've read online about different customs that I'm thinking of implementing when Lucas is a bit older - like planting a lent garden. Next year we'll probably break out the resurrection eggs.

Sorry for the long comment! Hope you're well!

Yay for Tristen walking!! Can you post a video?

21 weeks already!? That's crazy!! I'm hoping you're having a girl too:) Yay for finding out what you're having but I can't believe you're not telling!

Looking at that picture of Karis makes me sad that I had to miss out:( She's so sweet. I was trying to find a seat sale to fly out before I realized it was Easter weekend.

Your kitchen looks great! I love how it opens things up.

As for searching for treats, this year I kept it simple and told Kyra that God gave us the best gift when he gave us Jesus, so mommy and daddy wanted to give some gifts as well, to help celebrate. Next year I'll be doing the resurrection eggs as well.

Miss you and wish we could have a playdate. Or a girls night out.
