Christmas and a baby Tristen update.

Wow its hard to believe that Tristen will be 3 weeks old tommorow! Crazy! Its hard to say that we are actually in a routine yet, Christmas was crazy and we were rarely home, which was great but at the same time exhausting for everyone. Physically I am feeling ALOT better, but still feel rather sore after a really busy day or lots of running around. Emotionally its always hard after family leaves, I have Rosanna here for the weekend and then its back to reality and trying to find normalcy. Aiden has been doing alright, he LOVES his brother, but has really taken advantage of being "2". Again its hard to find a balance when you are constantly away from home, so I think with some routine we should be able to nip some of that attitude in the bud:) Tristen is a really good baby, causing me to wonder at times, is this normal, he rarely cries, sleeps fairly well, usually only waking at midnight to feed, 4 and 7. So I am really thankful for that. I am curious if he's gaining weight, always anxious about that, so I am hoping to get a doctors app't for him on Monday! I think I will feel more at peace knowing he's growing at the proper wieght, he still feels like such a peanut!

Christmas morning we did stockings at our house and then went over to my mom's with the rest of our presents and spent the day there! I love presents, so I am usually more anxious than the kids to open them, we ended up waiting until 11:) ahhh
Hanging out and doing the presents thing! So spoiled, all of us!
The 26th we were at Jeff's grandparent's, than the 27th with Jeff's family and then the 28th with my Loewen family! Like I said a little crazy, the pictures below are from Jeff's family. Aiden was quite taken with his cousin Noah, and managed to stake his claim on many toys before his little cousin Kaiwren could have them. Like I said definitely turning into the challenging 2 year old! It was a good day with lots of food and again presents.
Although things were definitely challenging with a newborn over the Christmas season, I was really relieved that Tristen came early. I could really enjoy Christmas without worrying about his arrival. I think he is already a people person, since he quite enjoyed being passed around from person to person. All in all it has been a good couple of weeks, I am much looking forward to a date with Rosanna on Saturday night, Jeff will be holding down the fort, which he is quite capable of and I am really thankful for that. I am looking forward to a few hours of freedom!

Since my Christmas cards are still sitting at Costco, Jeff, Aiden, Tristen and I are wishing you all a Happy New Year and blessings in the upcoming months!

Glad to hear you guys had a good Christmas, and that you were able to enjoy it with lots of family around. That's great that Aiden's enjoying being a big brother - it's cute to see him hold his new little brother:).

Hope you enjoy your time with Rosanna, and that you're able to adjust to family being gone after Christmas.

Christmas with a newborn is definitely more exhausting. Glad that you all still had fun though! I love that big grin Aiden has while holding Tristen:) Such cuties!
Hopefully all is well at the doctor's appointment - Tristen certainly looks healthy in his pictures:) Love you!

I love all your Christmas pics, Joc! I can't believe how old Aiden looks compared to Tristen! They grow up so fast!! Sorry we couldn't talk for very long the other day - I'll call you again soon. I tried looking you up on Skype, but I couldn't find you :( I hope you're getting back into a routine now that the holidays are over. I miss you & love you lots!
