So last week started out as any week. We had our mom's Christmas party at my friend Alicia's. Us mom's traded scrapbooking stuff and the kids exchanged presents as well. I had a little reindeer craft for the kids to make and we ate tons of food. Aiden was thrilled with his stuffed horse, who hasn't really left his sight since not even to go to bed. He is clutching the poor thing:) At this point I was feeling pretty normal, but also really ready for baby to arrive!
So Wednesday I had a doctors appointment and she decided to check me. Oh she said you are already 2 cms dialated would you like me to strip your membranes? Bring it on I said! She then proceeded to tell me that something should happen in 24 hours if it worked. That night I hosted our caregroup party and I was getting quite regular contractions by like 6pm. I enjoyed the party for the most part, made sure my house was clean after and went to bed. I woke up at about 4 with fairly intense contractions and by 5am they were 5 minutes apart. So we called my mom over and went in to the hospital. I was sent to assessment where they said I was 3 to 4 cm dilated. Now we were getting excited. However at 10:30am they asked if I wanted to sit in the jacuzzi tub. It was awesome however it stopped all contractions and I was sent home by 3pm. Yeah I cried, I was so disappointed! However they gave me a 2 day pass so I could bypass paperwork if something happened in the next 48 hours. My nurse said most women are back in that time, I was a little pessimistic, yeah right I thought!Friday I went to work as normal, sort of had contractrions all day, decided to go to WalMart in the evening and do some Christmas shopping. I was pretty uncomfortable a few times, came home, went to bed and then woke at 1:30am with pretty intense contractions. By 2am I ran my own bath just to be sure, and by 2:30 we were heading back to the hospital and I was QUITE uncomfortable at this point and wishing an anisithist was travelling with us lol!
I arrived, sent to assessment for 3 minutes to determine I could head straight to labor and delivery since I was 6 to7 cm. Yeah! Unfortunately I got stuck at 7cm and proceeded to have a very long night and most of the rest of the day. Trying a million different positions, walking around, bouncing on a ball and pretty much standing on my head. Finally I fully dialated, but the baby had yet to drop. It was pretty much decided that if the OB came in and thought it hadn't dropped enough I would be going upstairs for a section. Cried again. My amazing doctor came in and said, I think you could try pushing. They did have the entire c-section gang in my room, however, by miracle from God, and a hoover, Tristen Ryder Froese finally came into the world at 5:04pm. Weighing 8lbs 11 ounces, 22 inches long and 2 weeks early. Can you believe the size if I had gone all the way?! I was so pumped! The most awesome thing to experience. I have a lot of recovery to do and very careful sitting in the next while. But so far oh so thankful I got experience what I did.
Of course he was born in the coldest week ever, -42 with the wind, so we didn't have a lot of company, but sure appreciated everyone that did make it out. Aiden was absolutely thrilled that the baby was finally here and kept kissing him and wanting to carry him. I think he will be very helpful!
Tristen has a bit of a heart murmer and is a little Joundis so we stayed for two nights. We arrived home today and so far he has just been sleeping sleeping sleeping and eating fairly well. We are so grateful to God that he had his hand in this and just planned everything so well, I will have almost two weekes to heal up before Christmas and hopefully just enjoy it to the fullest.
Thanks to everyone for there encouraging words of late and praying for us!

We think he's pretty cute, heres a comparison of Aiden and then Tristen!
