Family wedding and Family fun!

My cousin Kim and her beloved Daniel, tied the knot this last Saturday in a beautiful ceremony and reception. Jeff and I had the priviledge of doing the Emceeing (not sure thats a word). But we had a blast and Jeff even let me say a cheesy joke or two. This is the only really good picture I got, all the all pics were blurry and dark, not sure if it had anything to do with the fact I was overly hormonal and couldn't stop crying! We also hired a sitter for the first time, this great girl from our church. Things went really well, Aiden is rather shy, but he didn't cry at all and went down for his naps and bedtime with no problems. YEAH! It is so nice to have someone to fall back on when family can't always help.

Sunday Jeff was preaching at our church and so some family came to support him, which was awesome, thanks so much for coming you guys! Then my uncle offered us some tickets to the raceway for the afternoon, with my mom offering to keep the kids it was a very hot but fun afternoon. Then like so many Sunday's I was throwing a pity party for myself that we don't have any friends and they never call us to hang out and then our wonderful friends Kev and Leanne called us up to go to the park with the kids and have a little picnic. It was a gorgeous evening and a great end to the day.

Aiden likes water but we've discovered on his own terms, he doesn't care much for our new pool, however, he does like to sit in his tiny tiny paddling pool or splash in the spray park. What a kid!

The two buddies enjoying a yummy fish cracker snack:) They are so cute!
I mentioned before that Aiden loves to sit on the naughty spot and read books, not sure how effective this is going to be as a discipline action, but I guess I will have to get creative. What's with the hitting?! Seems to be the new phase and so hard to reason with the guy about why it hurts mommy and our friends and daddy and so on...any ideas?
In other news, J's paperwork is in for his transfer, it actually has been for awhile but like everything takes forever. However, it sounds like it will happen in the next few weeks. Lots of things to prepare for him, not just physically but emotionally as well. Doesn't help that I cry about everything right now and this is going to be rough even though we are very ready for it. Much scrapbooking to be done, however, not my favorite thing to do so I really need to get motivation to get moving so it will be done for him. Anyone interested?

Happy Birthday Jocelyn! Thought about you so often today - wish the day would have included a breakfast at Wagon Wheel, shopping in the City, yummy treats and a good movie to end the day. I love you!

Looks like it was a beautiful wedding! Glad to hear that the babysitter worked out. And it looks like Aiden had fun at the water park! What a fun thing to do:).

I hope that everything goes well as you all prepare for J to leave. That can't be an easy thing to do.
