Loewen family Christmas. This always feels like my real Christmas, when I was younger our Christmas was always really quiet with just my mom, brother and me, it got crazier when he got married and had kids, but then they wouldn't always come out for Christmas. So I have always looked forward to the Loewen Christmas and all the kids when I was younger and now just the fun and visiting and gameplaying. We really missed Grandpa this year, his quiet presence and his treat bags. However, my Uncle marv ended up making us all treat bags! What an awesome thought, thank you so much Uncle Marv and Auntie Cheryl.
Jeremy was more excited about Aiden's airplane, however he did get into the screeching monkey he received and it is still giving off that crazy sound!
Aiden was all partied out after about an hour and had a little nap with Grandma and then in the corner on a bed of blankets, even though it was crazy noisy. What a guy! I am so thankful, he can sleep pretty much anywhere. Christmas morning! Well I wasn't going to admit this but I actually woke my boys up because I was so excited. About their presents but also about mine. My husband is the best shopper and really stepped up to the plate with a new coat from the GAP, matching scarf and mittens, a devotion book of women in the Bible, a refill for my Fruits and Passions soap, and Celine Dion's newest CD. Of course socks and underwear in my stocking. I LOVE presents and that is quite an understatement!
However I realized this year that I was more into the boys opening theirs, and it was so much fun. Especially watching J. I don't think he has seen that many presents ever. Yep I kind of spoiled him. Snuck in a few extras, even after my husband said enough! Aiden was so excited that he could actually touch the presents without being reprimanded, and quite happy to bang on all the boxes.
First John Deere tractor-my brother has collected John Deere for years and I was always kind of jealous. So maybe now I can start Aiden's collection.
I think J was a little overwhelmed, but very very excited about a new train set, diego boat for the tub and a disney cars Mac truck with Lightening McQueen, among a few things.
Aiden loves his stacking stool walker, so we opted for this cool car, which was really fun to watch him push around, he loves to dance to the music as well.
Froese family Christmas. I hosted this year and it was really good, not a lot of time for relaxing but enjoyable all the same. Especially the awesome pair of LuLulemon pants from my sister-in-law Jolene! Christmas on boxing day at my mom's. The tree was a little empty this year, but all in thought of our awesome Mexican vacation awaiting us in only 11 sleeps. J was so excited that he is going on an airplane, but I think he is most excited about going to the airport, he doesn't really get that we are going on an airplane. My nieces and nephews had a pretty funny reaction, they just couldn't believe it when Grandma called and told them. What a blast its going to be.
I LOVE Christmas, but this year I was glad when it was over, I missed time with Jeff since he only had the two days off and I am so looking forward to New Years, to just relax. My decorations are already all put away and I am getting ready to have a party here at our house with some friends. I have so much to look forward to this year, I usually dread January, but first is our vacation, then Aiden's first birthday, Rosabella comes to visit, J's birthday....... God has been faithful in the past year, even though its been really hard to see, but I know he will continue to be faithful in the coming year regardless of the events that take place.
I wish everyone God's closeness and blessing as this new year begins!
