January 1st Fun:)

We headed out to a place called Hilly Side on New Years day with my Loewen family. Its near the village that I grew up in until I was 14, so it brought back some really good memories. There is a place at the bottom of the hill that has bales and a firepit. So although it was cold we could get warm by the fire. We did lots of sledding and snowmobiling.
Aiden had to enjoy the festivities from inside the car. He has a rotten cold, comlete with coughing, runny nose and congestion. He was pretty cooperative, but I know he would have loved to be outside.

My Aunt and Uncle brought their snowmobiles, so we could have rides up the hill. J was in his glory getting a bunch of rides. Jeff took me for a little spin and proceeded to crash us into a bush and we both flew off. I was more worried about the snowmobile than us. He still claims I got startled and pushed his arm and it made him turn down the embankment, making us crash. I guess I finally faced my fear of falling off a ski doo.
After the outdoor fun, we finished off the day with a yummy chinese food dinner.

Looks like a lot of fun! Too bad Aiden had to miss out :( Hopefully he's feeling better soon - Lucas is also finishing up his cold of the month.
Thanks for the beautiful picture - it's on the fridge :)

Oh what fun times! You guys are such a blessing to 'J'. As I read your blog and see your pics I can't help but think all these experiences he gets to have, which otherwise he would never get to experience because you have opened your home and hearts to this little guy. Bless you guys for that and the influence you have in shaping this young man.
