Life

Well we officially finished off our youth year, with a grad celebration night. It was a fun night just honoring four of our youth and then heading out to a rec center to hang out and do all sorts of activities. Bowling, fooseball, pool, darts, air hockey...
Jeff and I can officially start our summer break from youth! Yippee.

Some random pics of our cutie boy:

Aiden will not go to sleep unless he has his blankets around his face, even if its hot outside. He was totally snuggled in his swing!
Aiden is VERY talkative, I actually have a headache after some of his screeching times, I'm sure when our windows are open the neighbors wonder what is going on, but he is honestly happy screeching. I captured just a bit of it.

My husband spoiled me last night with one of his famous pedicures. I know have some very smooth feet. Thanks honey, your the best!

Well to end off I would just like to share some info about the new adventure our family is embarking on. Jeff and I have completed all of our paperwork for the foster parent program. The worker was really impressed with my work experience and our home environment and as a result we will most likely be fast tracked to begin opening up our home to some kids. We have applied for 1 or 2 between the ages of 2 and 5. This is something that has been on my heart pretty much my whole life, now is the perfect time to see if this is something we really want to do since I'm not back at work for awhile.

We are so excited to begin this new adventure, with all its challenges, we just really hope we can show love to these little guys even for a short amount of time. We have been busy moving our office downstairs and preparing a toddler room. We are desparately looking for a toddler bed, so if you know of anyone who has one we would love to know.

It will be crazy to jump to parenting a toddle, but I'm sure it will be a great learning curve, in anticipation of potty training, temper tantrums, and cartoons...................I can't wait:)

I know you'll be great at it and I'll be praying for you as you continue to prepare home for some new little ones. I love you Joc and look forward to the next time we can see each other!

That is so exciting that you want to become foster parents.....it's a very draining job physically, emotionally but also one of the greatest joys...we thought the years that we foster were the best for our family..we learned lots and got to love much! and the best of all we got JENNA!!!!

Ahh! I loved that viedo of Aiden! Not even just because he is SO adorable but just listening to you talk to him! You sound like such a natural, loving mother! You'll be great at foster-parenting!

The evening has ended and I wish it would have included some quality time on your couch. Thanks for the little chat tonight - I know it was short but I thought about you for the rest of the evening. Nate and I will be praying for you and Jeff as you prepare to love His children. Cannot wait till August! Your pedicure man sure knows what he is doing. Give your men a squeeze from me.

We are pretty sure that we had the flu and not food poisoning because Danica got sick too. She is finally starting to feel better. She only barfed a couple of times but was really whiney so we knew she wasn't feeling well. Yikes! I don't wish that flu on anyone. That's great that you are going to be foster parents! You will be one busy momma. We should go for coffee someday before I go back to work. Have a great long weekend!! We are just hanging out in S'toon.
