August fun!

This post is long overdue. Our August has been our "holiday", with lots of family visiting and then a trip to Calgary that I will post about later.
I should start off by saying that our adjustment to J leaving went really well, Aiden occasionally went into his room the first few days and said "wherd he go?", but that's about it. We have moved most of Aiden's toys into that room so that he can start adjusting to being in there, since this week I hope to start napping him in the big boy bed.
J did come back for a weekend of respite, and that weekend definitely confirmed out decision that we had done the right thing, I am very much enjoying this time with Aiden, and feeling alot more relaxed, with fewer headaches. The other foster mom is having quite a hard time, so we chatted for a long time and I tried to give her a few options that work, unfortunately she said if it doesn't get better in the next while, she will be unable to continue caring for him since she has 5 other children. That part of it just makes me sad for him and wonder where he will end up, but I know that God is watching out for him.
So in the middle of August my brother Ray and his wife Sam and two of their 3 kids arrived for a visit, Rachel spent a week at Redberry. The project of one day was suppose to be our deck, however like most projects in the Froese and Wollf household, it ended up being a 3 day project, since a lot was rotted and needed to be reinforced. Oh well rather do it right now than have to redo later.
Here is our deck before, quite the eyesore! and no railing so I was very nervous with Aiden going up and down.
Everyone hard at work, us ladies had the priviledge of taking out the nails of all the old boards, not a very fun job I must say!
Of course where there are tools, there is Aiden and he enjoyed "helping" or just watching Uncle and daddy.
The finished product, we are uncertain whether we want to replace the non treated boards that were still in good condition, or if we want to paint the rest of the railing brown. I think we are leaning toward replacing the rest, I really like the look of treated wood.
We had some time to do some fun stuff, icecream at the double decker bus, watersliding/swimming, shopping, and of course lots of good eating!
Last evening at the park! As always the time wasn't long enough, but I was so thankful that they could come.
Fortunately its only 47 more sleeps until Celine in Vancouver, however I am a little paranoid, since my mom heard that some airlines aren't letting women over 27 weeks pregnant fly. Anybody heard anything similiar?

Hey Joc,

I'm glad you had a great August.
That's fun that you get to come to Vancouver. When are you coming? Do you think you might have time for a quick get-to-gether while you are there? It would be awesome to seee you.

As for the flying thing - yes it is true but each airline has their own cutoff date. I think you might just squeek in but I'd check to make sure. We are going on a cruise in 2 weeks and they won't let anyone over 24 weeks cruise. It's crazy but I guess they have their reasons. I hope everything works out - let me know how it goes.

Love you,
Nat

Hey Joc,

I was curious too so I did some research.

Westjet - you can fly anytime - they require a Drs note from anyone over 32 weeks however.

Air Canada - You can fly up until 36 weeks as long as you have a healthy pregnancy with no history of misscarriage or early labor.

Hope that helps! Looks like you'll make it afterall.

Only 47 more sleeps until Celine? That's craziness! Considering we've been waiting a year for it to come:)
So glad to hear you're enjoying mommy & Aiden time and that your headaches are less.
The new deck looks wonderful. I understand the frustration of finding it to be more rotten then you had thought:P Yea for fun times with your fam - love you Joc! Can't wait to see you!
