Fun Fun Fun with Anthony and Kristi

My best friend Kristi and her husband Anthony came for a visit from Sacramento, California to our lovely and freezing cold home. Honestly it was freezing! We were really blessed to have some friends from church lend us their van and so it was really awesome to be able to go out and show them around. We were able to do the enchanted forest, do a bit of shopping, go on a date to this awesome new restaraunt called the IVY and a movie, and simply just hang out and catch up!

Of course if any of you know Kristi she LOVES to go overboard (yes you know this is true Kris) and she spoiled us and our kids with LOTS of presents. It was so fun to actually do Christmas in person and not through the mail.

To be honest it was just really awesome to be with a couple who is interested in the same things, like doing the same things and to just have a blast. Jeff and I were discussing how hard it is when you get married to mesh your friends and although we enjoy hanging out with our friends, its so awesome to be with people that you can just be yourselves.

Yes I did chop my hair, very theraputic, 11 inches GONE! Anyway, in May my best friend will be moving to Australia for two years for her husbands work. Don't worry Anthony I still like you, and so this will most likely be the last time we see each other for a super long time. Yep definitely tears just writing that. I already looked into flights there, OH my a little expensive! So we are going to start saving now:)

My boys loved all the excitement and Aiden, who has become quite shy, totally warmed up and was his usual crazy self. J who has no trouble warming up to anyone, was quite thrilled to have another two adults to pay attention to him. Anthony thanks for playing trains with him, he is still talking about it. And now it is back to normalcy, getting ready for Christmas, finishing off my baking, shopping and hopefully getting out my Christmas cards. We got our pictures back today so I am excited to pick one to make into cards.
Love you Kris, thanks for a super weekend.

The hair cut looks great.
I always wished I had a best friend. I have a number of close friends but not that one best friend I could share and do anything with. That's something special to have.
I hear you about meshing your friendships together. It's a hard thing.
