Aiden is really starting to play with toys, he loves cars and trucks and just sitting on the floor and watching his brother's imaginative play!
Cuddle time before bed is the best, Aiden loves being in J's bed. J really really likes his bedtime routine and something we have learned is if we keep it the same he goes to bed without a complaint, but change one thing and it could cause tears for two hours.
Our church had it's celebration in the park, to kick off the year. Lots of stuff for the kids to do! I ran a candy store, which was really fun. annnnnd my husband hit a homerun in baseball! Good job honey, trying to tell me he couldn't play very well to get out of it. I barely saw J the whole time, he pretty much showed up when it was time for a treat!
And when it was time to throw wet sponges at Jeff, you haven't heard a giggle until you have seen him do this. I wish I would have remembered to videotape!
Aiden was a trooper, consdering it was a bit chilly and he's not to crazy about being bundled up. He still napped and was happy being passed around!
Last night was our first youth event. We did an amazing race, teams went to different locations, some had a choice, to eat sardines or catch live gold fish from a pool, roll a tire or ride one of J's trikes around a huge church in the city, they had to dig for some tiny blocks in a huge sandbox, find addresses to specific verses and then the final one they came back to me at the church and they had to eat a whole watermelon with no untensils. It was really, really fun! We don't really want to bring the kids this year, however, this week our Christmas drama practice started up, youth, foster parent training and it felt like our kids were always at a babysitter. So I brought them and at least Jeff could have supper with them.
I am giving up being a care group leader for this year, which I think will be a great decision and instead just putting my focus on youth. I felt like nothing was ever getting my 100%. Our Christmas drama is starting practice and Jeff and I are so pumped. Of course anything with Christmas gets me excited.
This weekend we are in for another dry weekend of foster parent training, then Tuesday and Thursday and we are Done! Yeah!

Aiden and J look so happy together - like J's always been around! Looks like you all had tons of fun - just looking at Jeff's face makes me giggle:)
Praying for you in this year that you feel better prepared to do 100% at the tasks at hand. You're a great mom and I love you tons!
Looks like a blast! I love all your pics - I agree with Yvonne, Aiden and J DO look so happy together! That Aiden looks like one happy and content baby.
Happy start of the 'year' to you and yours. Here's praying for courage and lots of energy!
