Yep, that would be a two inch gash(sorry to the weak stomached), or a mild concussion and a laceration according to the doctor. Some guys will do anything to get out of a hard days work. Just kidding. Actually we were diligently digging sand out of a former play area we had, we thought this spot would work great for a garden. Jeff build this great sandbox under the deck, so we wouldn't waste the sand. As we were shovelling he managed to bang his head on the bottom of the deck, he said it was pain unlike he had ever felt. So I convinved him to go to the doctor and kept calling his name as I got Aiden and I ready, I told if he passed out on me I would be a real mess.
The trooper that he is still managed to help me dig out the rest of the sand. It has been a crazy week of trying to get some projects done. I will have some before and after pictures soon. I finished planting most of my plants, the best part and I think we are dwindling my list down to just a few items left.
Oh the adventures at the Froese house, the upside is the massive "pipes" I am developing from all that shoveling:)

Whew pooped out.....I love that he can still sleep with his arms up, even in the swing!
Aiden doesn't really enjoy being outside much, however, when I brought the exersaucer out, he was happy as a lark. Also received his first two mosquito bites, ahh I tried so hard to watch. If anyone has any baby proof mosquito ideas I would love to hear them. Leanne thanks for the bounce sheet idea I am going to try that!
Well its time for some much needed rest and check on my ailing husband!
until later

Oh my goodness! Jeff that looks sick!!! Sorry to hear about the rough encounter with the deck though. We wanted to hang out with you guys last night... pizza and coke would have been perfect. Praying your Sunday is filled with things that rejuvinate your soul. Give Aiden a little kiss from me. Love you guys TONNES!
The bloody picture kinda shocked me a little. I will admit my stomach did do a little flip when I first saw the blood. I could never be a nurse. Aiden looks cute in his little muscle shirt. The mosquitos are horrible. I had a net thing but it doesn't work great on the stroller. So far Danica doesn't have any bites (but I sure do ).
Aidan is sooo cute! Great pictures! Best wishes on a speedy recovery for Jeff :)
love charlotte
Wow - I hope you're feeling better today Jeff.
Aiden looks so cute with his arms up like that. You're such a great mother Joc and I can't believe all the stuff you've done and all the projects you've completed despite having a newborn in the house. I love you!
Ewww - that's all I have to say about the head injury.
Aiden is so cute - LOVE the picture of him sleeping in his swing like that!
