Here's a little story all about Aiden Jeffrey (AJ)

Wow! I have been waiting all week long to finally sit in front of this computer and just totally share about the amazing, incredible, scary, anxious and tearful events of the last week!
On Monday my water broke at my mom's house, quite a funny story actually since we were to meet my Auntie Betty (sorry Auntie Betty) for supper and I thought I would quickly use the bathroom. Thankfully I didn't wait until we got to the restaurant! I did the deed went to get up and literally lost control of my bladder. Ummm unusual that hasn't been a problem in the past. Unsure I called my mom over, who was equally unsure, so I walked to the telephone to call Jeff (it was guys night out-no I didn't plan that on purpose) and again proceeded to lose control. By this time I was kind of cracking up and went ahead and told Jeff to come home. My mom and I went to my house to pack a final bag and change and wait for Jeff. We have to be one of the only people who went through the McDonald's drive thru before going to the hospital. It was 6:00 and Jeff hadn't had supper, thought we may be in for a long night.
Well we arrived at the hospital, where after about four hours they determined that my water had in fact broken and there was maconium inside. He pooped. Because of that they had to put my on the drip right away to get things going-no contractions at this point. However, they arrived in short measure and by 1am I had had an epidural (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED), didn't hurt at all! And then proceeded to slowly dilate until about 8:30am, when one doctor thought I had fully dilated. They called my doctor and after a bit of pushing- Aiden's head still hadn't dropped and they had a suspicion that he was Opposite Posterior(face up). At this point my doctor had already warned me a C-section may be in order. To say I was upset was a bit of an understatement. We tried a bunch of different positions (at this point the last 4 hours haven't been very pleasant pain wise) and nothing worked. So by 12 O'clock my epidural was being topped up for the c- section and I was having a full blown panic attack! (My poor student nurse-I have a whole new respect for nurses) And by 1:39pm Aiden Jeffrey Froese was born. I didn't hear them say it was a boy, so at least 10 minutes passed before I tried to loudly as through my oxygen mask, what was it? Jeff said "You got your boy!" Yep you'd think the tears would be all used up but more managed to sqeak by.
I expected a normal release after 3 days, however Aiden didn't have any bladder activity so I had to stay until Friday and see if a supplement would help. It did and we were all ready to leave, and I suddenly felt really ill and spiked a fever! Which resulted in another 2 day stay! Also quite emotional- I was ready to come home on day 2. Whoever said a stay in the hospital is restful is gravely mistaken. So we finally arrived home yesterday after waiting the entire day just for the doctor to write me a perscription for my medication!
However our faithful caregoup, had supper ready for us to pick up! Thanks Heide and Julia-that was awesome!
So here we are almost a week later and slowly starting to believe that this little miracle is actually ours and contiually wondering how those 9lbs were ever squished and crammed into me! God is so amazing in his planning!

PROUD PARENT'S! I thank God everyday for creating wonderful things called husbands!
They were truly created to help us cope and to tell us we are beautiful when we really know there is defintely some very unattractive things after childbirth!
I love you Jeffrey- you are my number one supporter and I will never forget how excited you were to change your first diaper which made you gag and me laugh really hard! But you still kept going!

Aiden has so many people that love him, thanks to all the people that came to see us, Grandma Wollf, Jolene and Jeanna, Grandma and Grandpa Froese, Pastor Andrew, Pam, Steve and Sandra, Dustin, Tanya and Darren, Janet and Sheldon, Sharon, Leanne and Kev, Janie and Lacy and anyone else I forgot to mention. Thanks so much for visiting.
Mom thanks so much for all the meals and all the treats for us and Aiden while we were at the hospital, we really appreciated that!

Finally home! Trying out my new Baby Einstein Chair from Auntie Jolene and Auntie Jeanna! I love it!

Good to hear my story. To say I am not scared about having my baby is a lie. Did you end up having a c-section then? I'm glad everything worked out in the end. I hope you feel better soon. And yes, i am sure Jeff is a great husband and dad. He is so good with kids.

Aiden is beautiful! I loved this post - It's always fun hearing birth stories, even when they are full of emotions and the unexpected. I'm sure you would agree it was all worth it to bring home your perfect little miracle! I hope you're settling in a bit and getting some sleep. I know the first weeks can be a bit tough - and I'm sure the c-section recovery doesn't help!

By the way, I loved seeing the pic of Jolene - Tell her I miss her!
